Iizuka Hiroshi
Urban Planning, Business Development

I’m representative of quod LLC, professional firm for business development. Our members and our partners consist of creators and knowledge workers. We engage in some resort projects and co-working space projects focusing on deep concentration in Japan.
I graduated from University of Tokyo and majored urban planning. I researched “Creative Class” theory by Richard Florida, which focus on relationship between people engaged in “creative industries” and cities. My research focus on cafes as a third place where creative class share many information and inspiration.
After graduated, I worked for Development Bank of Japan, which is governmental bank providing long-term finance 2009-2016. I engaged in many M&A projects and finance projects regarding infrastructure and urban development. I consulted many CEOs regarding business alliance and finance. I also lead new business regarding certification system of buildings in terms of sustainability. I promoted connection between sustainable buildings and ESG investors abroad.
Last year, I established quod, LLC based on creative class research and business experience in Development Bank of Japan.
